The first annual St. Joseph High School/College
Sports Hall of Fame event took place on
Saturday, October 12th, 2019 at 5:00PM,
at Saint Patrick's University Seminary. This celebration was a terrific success.
The Sports HOF is currently planning something for us at this year's Alumni Day celebration.
Lets stay "tuned in" --- join us on Saturday, April 18th, 2020 for our
next annual Alumni Day event.
Where were you? Thirty years ago? On 10/17/1989 at 5:04 PM? Probably tuning into
game 1 of the world series between S. F. and Oakland. On this same day, 30 years later,
the Los Altos History Museum in Los Altos has opened its doors to a new exhibit featuring the impact of
the Loma Prieta earthquake upon this area - and the destruction of Saint Joseph's Seminary
in particular. I need to find out when they plan to close this exhibit.
Our next Alumni Board meeting is scheduled for
Thursday, March 26th, 2020 at 1:00PM,
at Saint Patrick's University Seminary.
Subsequent board meetings will occur at 1:00PM on:
Thursday, May 28th, 2020
Thursday, September 24th, 2020
The date for our December board meeting (and Mass for deceased alumni)
will be set during our Sept. meeting.
Mark your calendars - does everybody have a 2020 calendar?
Please consider attending one (or more) of our board meetings;
Some interesting projects
have been launched and you might be interested in sharing your thoughts.
All alumni are invited.
Our next annual Day of Recollection is on the horizon.
It will be held on a Saturday, February 1st, 2020.
Fr. Dave Pettingill, R'56, will be out host and facilitator.
He has hosted our "day" once before and he was terrific.
He even gave us some homework.
If you return to our home page, you will see a link to a 1 page description.
Use this page to sign up for this day. Since we have a catered lunch, we need to know
how many folks plan to be there. Also, please remember that your wives are very welcome
to attend this annual event. Thank you.
